Brazilian Association of Graduate Programs in Economics

About us

Founded in 1973, the National Association of Postgraduate Programs in Economics (in Portuguese, ANPEC) represents 29 accredited Brazilian institutions that offer postgraduate programs and develop academic research in the field of Economics.

Currently, its direction is under the responsibility of Professor Cássio da Nóbrega Besarria.

The ANPEC provides and sponsors a variety of academic initiatives and services, such as the national admission test for prospective master’s students (the ANPEC Test), the annual National Meeting of Economics, the scholarly journal EconomiA, and the Haralambos Simeonidis Award, that awards the best papers and thesis on Economics.
